Radio Reporting: This manual includes lesson plans, exercises, and a training agenda developed by Internews Network's Local Voices programs to train radio journalists in HIV reporting. The manual includes audio files for use in reporting and editing exercises.
The print version includes a CD with audio files as well as a digital copy of the manual in Microsoft Word format, allowing instructors to edit and customize the exercises.
Purchase the print version ($17) for domestic shipping or international shipping. |
NGO Communication: A manual for training non-governmental organizations working on HIV and networks of people living with HIV on communicating effectively with the media.
The manual consists of a five-day step-by-step training agenda, focused on building practical skills. After completion of the training, participants better understand what journalists are looking for and how to properly interact with the media.
Purchase the print version ($6) for domestic shipping or international shipping. |
We hope these manuals will be useful to journalists and trainers around the world. Of course, the manuals themselves cannot fully replicate Internews' Local Voices model, which relies on long-term mentoring of journalists by senior journalism trainers as well as the engagement of editors, media owners, and community-based organizations.
